is the world ending soon?

in this part of the world, we have witnessed many natural disasters recently -

- 2004 indian ocean earthquake, 230,000 people died in Indonesia, Thailand and beyond
- 2008 cyclone nargis, Myanmar's Irrawady Delta had countless and unreported deaths
- 2008 Sichuan earthquake, possible >100,000 deaths in China's Sichuan province, particularly in the younger population

and we have bird flu which is a powerful force in the waiting....

plus many unfortunate smaller incidents this year. Food prices are going up.

if war happens, we will be bombed back to stone age. Hurray!!
